Hi Guys,
Hey! Great trip, good food and fun Hangar Flying with some good guys. Hell, what more can we ask for? Yea... all of us owning our own planes.

On Sun, Apr 29th, five people and three planes met at MYF for the Breakfast flight to Camarillo (CMA). But AGAIN, CMA was weathered in. We'll have to save that one till the fall when the marine layer isn't a persistent pain in the butt. Anyway, the alternate, Gen Fox Field (WJF), was forecast to have wind gusts to 30 kts, and no one really cared to go to Palm Springs (PSP) which was also due for winds.

So Chris & Bill in a 172RG, Dennis in his RV4 and Terry & me in a 172 opted for Corona (AJO). Besides it's always had good food and the 2 mile vis and 2600" ceiling there was burning off fast. By the time we flew there, visibility was 9 and ceiling was broken. Other than Chris and my GPS locking up on us 7 miles from the airport (each plane found it the old fashion way.. LOOK at the chart and ground references), the flight was uneventful and it was just "plane" fun flying.

After the usual hangar flying over a good breakfast we walked over to the local aircraft sales lot behind the restaurant and did more hangar flying for a half hour over (2) 310s, (2) 172s, (2) Bonanzas, etc., and made worldly decisions over which planes pilots would or would not buy.

Again, it was an enjoyable time in doing what we pilots like to do.. FLY PLANES and HANGAR FLY.

NEXT BREAKFAST FLY-IN... SUN, MAY 20TH...  CABLE AIRPORT (CCB). Check out the below Fly-In website by Chris Claborne for meeting time, airport location and recommended route.  I'll send out another reminder within a week of the departure date.

Best of clear skies and tailwinds,   http://cyberthought.com/tonytex/
