Hi Guys,

Twelve people and seven planes made the May 15th Fly-In to Flabob (RIR).

>From SEE came Doc, Robert, Don & David in a 337; Jeff & Jerry in a 172 and
Andy & Mike in a Comanche. From SDM Dennis flew out in an RV3 and from
Montgomery (MYF) came Chris in a 172RG and Bret & Tony in a 172.

The AM weather was initially IFR and then quickly went to a hazy 3-5 mile
vis and everyone got out VFR. The vis improved to 5-7 vis as we flew toward
Riverside and the air was smooth as silk.

We all arrived at Flabob about the same time, except for one 172 who got off
a little late. Robert got to the restaurant first and could only save ten
seats, but as everyone arrived we squeezed in a few more chairs for
breakfast and some hangar flying.

Bret was our official Fly-In photographer this time and got a picture of the
"Group" at breakfast. He'll get pictures to our webmaster Chris Claborne and
they'll be on the website soon.

The food was okay and as usual we solved the world problems over breakfast
we decided the next Fly-In would be to Pomona Airport (POC) on June 19th.
Pomona airport is known as Brackett on VFR charts and La Verne on IFR
approach plates. Oh, if you're "PW", take note, the next Fly-In date is on
Father's Day.

It was a great flying fun day with good conversation and camaraderie. Around
1130 we all scattered and headed home.

Looking forward to going with you guys again to POC on June 19th.

Best of clear skies and tailwinds,

Tony Tex
