Hi Guys, Sixteen people and seven planes from three different airports made the Fly-In to Fox Field (WJF) on Sun, Oct 9th. It was a good turn out for Our Group and we had a great time in some nice flying weather. Flying out of SEE were Jeff & Jerry in a 172 and Dave & Robert in a 337. Flying alone from SDM was Dennis in an RV3. And out of MYF were Mike & Christoph in a 172; Chris, Matt, Juan & John in a 177RG; Bert & Ken in a Great Lakes; and Jim, Bret & Tony in a 337. We picked a good day. It was VFR and we encountered some headwinds flying up there, but cashed in on them on the way back. The winds were 25-35 knots on Fri through Sat night. But by early Sun AM they died down just in time for our Fly-In. A Santa Ana was forecast to kick up again on Mon & Tue. So we got lucky and picked a window right between the "breezy" weather. Due to headwinds and different departure times, we arrived at WJF within an hour or so of each other. The first people there saved sixteen seats at a table and a nearby booth so we could do some hangar flying together over breakfast. Lots of chatter and chuckles over breakfast on flying and flying machines. We decided our Nov Fly-In will be on the 13th and we'll go to Chiriaco Summit (L77). Chris, Bret, Christoph and Bert got pictures of our hangar flying over breakfast and our planes at WJF. As soon as Chris gets them from you guys, he'll put them on our web site. Best of clear skies and tailwinds, Tony Tex Check our website: http://tonytex.com/ or http://www.cyberthought.com/tonytex/
