Hi Guys,

ten people in six planes made the 2/17 Fly-in to Mohave (MHV).

Flying out of SDM: Dennis Cullum in an RV3, out of SEE: Mike Gretton in a
Lancair, Robert Werve & Bob rideout in a 337, Jeff Picardi & Chris Maier in
a 172, and out of MYF Mike Schmied & Chris Claborne in a 172 and Jim Newport
& Tony Tex in a 337.

It was great CAVU day on the coast, but SEE had some overcast that burned
off around 0930. The San Bernardino Valley (CNO, ONT, etc) were overcast,
but once we were over the rocks north of LA, it was CAVU again to PMD and
MHV.

Lots of good chatter, fun and "hangar flying" over breakfast at the
Voyager restaurant, but according to the waitress neither Dick nor Burt
Rutan had come in for their daily breakfast stop. Nor did they while we were
there.

Chris Claborne, our Webmaster, took some pics and will put them on the
website shortly.

Once again, a great way to spend a Sunday morning each month.

Next Fly-In on 3/16 to Chino (CNO) with breakfast at Flo's, (famous for
their biscuits and gravy) and it's just a short walk over to the "Planes of
Fame" museum.

Best of clear skies and tailwinds,

 Tony Tex
