Hello Everyone,

GREAT FLY-IN to Fullerton (FUL) today. The weather was perfect, but a
little toasty, the guys the best and a good time was had by all.

Sixteen people in six planes and one Volkswagen made this Fly-In.

From Brown Field came Dennis Cullum in a RV-3. Flying out of Gillespie was
Jeff Cary in a 172, Dick Grothen in a 182, and in a 337 was Robert Werve,
Don MacManus and Bruce & Adam Morley. Flying from Montgomery was Gary & Al
Ghio and Gary Kauffman in a Cherokee 140 (Oops, correction: that's a Turbo
Arrow), and in a 172 was Bret Strain & Tony Tex. And last but not least came
Jeff Picardi, who usually flies a 172 or 172RG, but came in his Volkswagen
Golf because he was transferred near FUL.

We had a terrific time. The waitresses put tables together in an "L" shape
at Tartuffles restaurant and we sixteen had a good breakfast and did our
usual "hangar flying" and decided on our next Fly-In.

I'm sorry to say, Jerry Jackson lost his wife Lynn last week and he didn't
come to the Fly-In.

Our June Fly-In will be to Camarillo (CMA). The June Fly-In WILL NOT be
the usual 3rd Sunday of the month. That's Father's Day! Don't want to upset
your spouse, significant other, kids or grandkids. Yes, I know. You should
be able to do what you want on Father's Day, Right? Wrong! Do you want to
hear, "Don't push our luck" from them? So the June Fly-In to CMA will be on
the following Sun, June 22nd.

Bret Strain took some pictures while we were at the restaurant and our Web
Master (where's he been?) should get them on our website shortly.

Best of clear skies & tailwinds.

Tony Tex
