Hello Everyone,

Eight people in four planes made the Feb Fly-In to Chiriaco Summit (L77) on
Sun, 2/15/09.

Flying from Brown Field was Dennis Cullum in an RV3 and flying from
Gillespie Field were Mike Gretton in a 172, Robert Werve, Norten Awes &
Denny Walker in a 337 and Jerry & Betty Jackson and Tony Tex in a 172.

Even though we were between two fronts and it was great weather. Great vis,
calm winds and we even had a SW tailwind to boost our flight there. Of
course we paid for it on the way back.

Either Dennis Cullum or Robert Werve got to L77's first and saved a couple
tables and seats for us at the Coffee Shop. We did the usual hangar flying
over breakfast, discussed everything from politics to aviation stuff and
solved most of the world's problems. Besides having a good time, the most
important thing we did was deciding when and where for the next Fly-In.

A couple people took pictures and will send them to our Webmaster Chris
Claborne to post on our website.

Next Fly-In will be on Sun, 3/22/09 to Calexico (CLX). Rosa's Plane Food,
the Mexican restaurant there, can often test a person's patience with their
service, but the authentic Mexican food is good and the wait is worth it.

So schedule a plane, or your get your plane ready for the next Fly-In on
March 222nd.

Best of clear skies and tailwinds,

Tony Tex
