  Hi Guys,

Four people in two planes made the El Monte (EMT) Fly-In on Sun, Aug 15th.

From SEE Kurt Hardick & Dennis Walker in a Bonanza and in a 172 Jeff Picardi
& Tony Tex.

SEE was down hard. At 0800 it had a 200' ceiling with 1-1/2 mile vis but it
cleared quickly. An hour later it was VFR with 5 mile vis and VFR all the
way to (EMT). From French Valley you can go direct to EMT at 4500' without
entering any Class B, C & D air space. However, using Flight Following is
recommended because it's a busy area. It's a fun flight.

Annia's Kitchen, EMT's restaurant, is located in the terminal overlooking
the runway is really nice. The is food great and service good. Parking is
right next to the terminal. EMT will be on the re-visit list.

Looking ahead, the next Fly-In is on Sep 19 to Brackett (POC) and the
following Fly-In is on Oct 17th to Camarillo (CMA).
